RIOT 9/13/09

Hey Parents!

We have completed the first series of our Curriculum and are celebrating with what we call a RIOT! We will have a testimony from an adult that relates well with the topic we've been discussing over the past few weeks. We will then celebrate that testimony by playing some games and enjoying some food and fellowship together. This is always a great Sunday for students to bring friends for the first time or to come for the first time themselves. This is a relaxed atmosphere where we will be once again sharing the purpose for the youth ministry. We are testimony based because we learn much by hearing the journey and story of others. Hopefully our leaders sharing their stories will help students see the importance of learning their own story. We desire community and to be in the process of transformation together. This time of celebration is meant to reflect upon the portion of the process we've traveled in the past few weeks and to build excitement for the next portion!
